Educational Field Trip to Yogyakarta: Learning Beyond the Classroom

As part of our commitment to experiential learning, SMP Mutiara Bangsa 3 conducted an Educational Field Trip to Yogyakarta, offering students a valuable opportunity to explore history, culture, and nature beyond the classroom.

This field trip allowed students to gain firsthand learning experiences while strengthening friendship, independence, and appreciation for Indonesia’s rich heritage.

Destinations Visited

During the trip, students visited several iconic and educational destinations in Yogyakarta, including:

     

      • Borobudur Temple – Learning about Indonesia’s world heritage site and its historical significance

      • The Yogyakarta Palace (Keraton) – Exploring Javanese culture, traditions, and royal history

      • Obelix Sea View – Enjoying natural scenery while learning about tourism and environmental awareness

      • SKE City Park – Participating in fun and interactive outdoor activities

      • Jeep Lava Tour – Experiencing an adventurous journey while learning about Mount Merapi’s geology and disaster history

      • Malioboro Street – Observing local culture, shopping for souvenirs, and experiencing Yogyakarta’s vibrant city life

    Learning Values from the Field Trip

    This educational journey provided students with meaningful learning outcomes, such as:
